Assignment

EDM wire cutting machince EWEB 40CNC serves for cutting holes and external cylindrical or conical profiles of any shape of cross-section. It can machine all materials conducting current (hardened steels, sintered carbides etc.), thick up to 150 mm.

 

Application

EDM wire cutting machine EWES 40CNC is applied mainly in tool-rooms producing blanking dies, press-tools and forms for production of cutting elements for cutting out tools - espcially for concurrent machining of cooperating parts, for instance cutting plates, guiding plates, pushing devices etc. Machining abilities of the EDM machine are widened by the numerically controlled head for inclining wire which can be inclined from the position perpendicular to the table by :t2ř (disregarding the machined shape).

Description

EDM wire cutting machine EWEB 40CNC consists of:

  • machining part (bottom and upper body, coordinate table, wire rewinding system, cross support of wire inclining, plotter)
  • generator
  • dielectric station
  • control box The final contour is obtained due to the machined object movement with regard to the electrode (wire) along the programmed path, situated in X- Y plane of the machine tool. Between the wire and the machined object there are generated electric discharges. Continuous winding of the wire eliminates the influence of electrode wear upon precision of the machined object. Programming the path is simple and can be done directly on the control box board or introduced from the information carrier prepared on the separate stand.
